Alice might not have been molested by Carrol but she knew John Ruskin, who taught her watercolours after Carrol's rift with the Liddell family.
Ruskin had..eh..issues, which included not being able to consummate his marriage when he found out that his blushing bride was ..um...hairy down there. He'd only known women from classical art, and you'll notice there's not a lot of fur pie on the average Venus.
He also wanted famed and much respected illustrator, Kate Greenaway, to draw him some of her little girls but " without her hat...and, without her shoes." and then goes on to list the other items of clothing that might gradually be discarded.
I'm prepared to accept that both men were scrupulous in their dealings with her and she must have been an enchanting child to have delighted such prominent men, it just seems a little bizzare that she was in contact with both of them.
Sorry, this became a rant and didn't mean it to. Thank you for your patience. The rabbit is delightful!
