Underwater panther, also known as Mishibizhiw, is a powerful water spirit in the lore of the Native American tribes living in the regions of the Great Lakes and the northeastern woodlands.

Looks along the lines of the Hodag myth that is from Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

No the Hodag is different, it lives on land, has a flat head and huge claws.
