Animals are wood rat (pack rat) and black billed magpie. Tree is a bristle cone pine, very cool trees that live here in UT.

Mixed media (acrylics and color pencil) on 9x12 illustration board.

Beautifully done... I wish I could do anything like that with acrylics. It's sweet and wonderfully innocent, and yet strikingly awesome on a whole other level as well - I just can't quite put my finger on it. I love the composition and all the wonderful details. The colours and anatomy, as usual, are perfectly done. Keep it up! :D

Ah, very nicely done the rat looks pleased and the magpie seems quite happy, and you gotta love the random shiny objects. Strange how I am actually missing a key that looks similar to that...

the ring in the top left corner reminds me of the One Ring from LOTR... heehee
