You might recognize this guy from a previous sketch or two. His character design has been itching at my brain for months now, and I think I finally got an official "look" down. I needed to get this character finalized anyways, since someone wants to draw him for an art trade, but it always feels good to get a creature totally figured out.

Don't know why I settled on the name "Io." He just looks like an Io, and I and O look really cool together.

Here is my half assed idea for this character - He's a daemon, but not in the "hellfire n' brimstone" sense. He lives in the endless void that exists in the spaces between human thought. This abyss has no shape, yet every shape. It the very fabric of space and time, and he can manipulate it as he wants - influencing mankind as he does so. How he does this is through flashing his little glowy bio lights, matching sequences of energy and brain waves. Wheee.

I should do a color thingy for him, but I think I'll just leave it as this for now - skin and claws are dark, dark blue/black. Lights are electric blue/white, as are his eyes and the inside of his mouth.
