im learning to oil paint... just wondered if i could ask something...
do you draw on top of the paint when its dry? how does that work?

I have used pencil and colored pencil on top of acrylics and it seems to work pretty well - the pencils can help add highlighted color or texture. I've never tried it over oils though.

i may well give it a go and see what i come out with. i have been thinking about adding fineliner to one of my oil works. thanks for getting back to me, i have always wondered how mediums would mix without creating mess lol
